Nearly Perfect balance of features, quality and value

Posted by Evan Morris on 29th Jul 2016

I've bought both the P12 and this MH12. They are both fantastic little flashlights. The quality of the build is as good as anything I've seen, and I've never had a problem in several years of use in the home, on job sites and camping. The light weight in combination with the brightness and throw at the 1000Lu setting is very impressive. The 1 Lu is perfect for reading in bed. The USB recharging feature means I can recharge anywhere, including off my camping Solar panel. The only small issue is that the USB cover is easily confused with the mode switch by feel. But it's a minor quibble. I'd recommend this to anyone.

    The Perfect Light

Posted by Tanner Sorenson on 1st Jun 2016

Bought this torch after having seen it at a sportsman show and got to feel the quality of if in my hand first. This light will not let you down. Everything about it is designed well, and for its size, it is extremely powerful. I highly recommend this light to anyone who is looking for a product that will most likely last a lifetime.

    Awesome Light

Posted by Tim Zwieg on 7th Mar 2016

My buddies call me a flashlight junkie, and I kind of have to agree. This is one sweet light, 1000 Lumens. Used on high in the snow, it is almost to bright, good thing there are multiple brightness settings. I like the function switch allowing you to easily switch between settings. I think my favorite function is the built in charger, followed closely by the battery gage.

Ready for my audition for the X files

I finally found a flashlight that I consider bright enough. I love the features on the light along with the USB charging. It is small enough to carry with you on most any job. Great addition to the tool box.

Finally! A flashlight to rely upon!

Posted by John "Zee-Man" Zeron on 14th Jan 2016

So far I am quite pleased. The only thing that I do not like about it is that the mode switch feels exactly like the USB port cover. They are opposite each other on the barrel so it makes it hard to find the mode switch by feel. 50 /50 is just not a great probability. Otherwise, the 1000 lumen setting is quite impressive. The lower lumen settings (1, 70, and 230) will be quite useful. I think the strobe may be too fast to be very disorientating. Maybe that is a good thing for the user? The SOS impulses seems a tad slow to attract attention. The beacon setting is pretty neat. It is probably the best of the settings for getting oneself found. It came with some extras. A USB cable of course is included. It come with an anti-roll ring. To use this you unscrew the butt end, slip the ring on, and screw the but end back on. Pretty nifty. I came up with another use for it. Instead of installing it as intended simply slip it onto the butt end and the light will stand on a table, sort of like a lantern or torch lamp. It also comes with an extra button cover, an extra USB port cover, two extra O-rings, a lanyard, and a pocket clip. Last but not least it comes with a nylon holster that can be attached to one's system in a few ways. The battery came with enough charge to give it an initial trial. I have it on the charger now. It should be fully charged in about 4 hours. Monday will be its real challenge when I begin using it for inspections. I'll check back in to update y'all on its field use performance. Update: I have been using this flashlight for a week now. Even after a week the low battery indicator has yet to start flashing. That's right the mode switch has light built into it to indicate when the battery is at 50% and another pattern when it is nearly exhausted. To charge the flashlight you must turn it on, then connect the USB cable. It then changes mode, the lamp goes out and the switch glows solidly blue until fully charged when the light goes out. At 50% discharge it will blink every two seconds while the flashlight is on. When nearly exhausted, the mode light blinks steadily. Anyway, I have not gotten it to the 50% level yet. I use it on 1000 lumen setting several times each day. I use the 230 lumen setting the most, and often times the 70 lumen setting is preferred. I will be recommending to all the folks at http://www.zombieprepwiki.com
